A very exciting opportunity for a Mid-Senior Software Developer with .Net Core to grow with this innovative market leader in their specialised field of ‘smart city & innovative parking solutions.'

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be joining a close-knit & committed team of 12 professionals who are passionate about their market, the highly innovative products they offer & who have a ‘client comes first’ mindset.

Your primary focus will be to help build, lead and support the development team through the effective application of development methodologies, software development techniques and leadership.

What you will be doing:-

Assist the business in designing and developing software, overseeing its delivery and ongoing maintenance (70%) and mentoring (30%):
  • Help build, mentor and lead in some development.
  • Help manage the Azure hosting environment.
  • Ensure Production systems and troubleshooting issues are maintained.
  • Product backlog - manage the sprint and backlog within that.
  • Contribute to management of product backlog, sprint backlog, repos & CI/CD with Azure DevOps
  • Innovate development.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to the development team and share responsibility for managing productions systems and troubleshooting issues ( 30% ).
  • Oversee activities of the onshore Mobile Developer & offshore dev team (2 devs, 1 QA and 1 Manager) with plans to expand onshore team imminently. 
  • Design and develop software using SCRUM methodology (fortnightly sprints).
  • 1 mobile developer locally to manage and mentor.
What you will bring to the team:-
  • 3 - 5 years strong commercial software development experience in ASP.Net Core / MVC & SQL Server.
  • Some exposure to cloud hosting (Azure is ideal).
  • Ability to work using agile system development practices (SCRUM).
  • Ability to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Telerik Framework (nice to have ).
  • Payment gateways (nice to have).
  • A great sense of humour!
